Reap What You Sow

You reap what you sow

You receive what you reciprocate

Stuck in a stalemate, unable to escape

Your innate nature is to restate but you can’t

You reap what you sow

You receive what you reciprocate

Captivated by your deceiving activities

You try to redo, to recreate, to rewrite but you can’t

You reap what you sow

You receive what you reciprocate

Weary and worried, you watch your back

You wish for your worries to waft away but you can’t

You reap what you sow

You receive what you reciprocate

Fueled by your affluence, you flee for freedom

You fight to uphold your facade but you can’t

You reap what you sow

You receive what you reciprocate

Eye for an eye, you’re eager to deny it

You’re dying to retry and rewind, but you can’t

You reap what you sow

You receive what you reciprocate

You want to take everything back

But you can’t

Your actions assault and abuse us

Your words wound and weaken us

Your injustices injure and impair us

You want justice? Redemption?

You want to amend? To heal?

You want, and you want, and you want

But you can’t
