Volcano

Poetry by Jane Vandervort

                                                  A volcano

                                           Filled with magma

Getting ready to burst into pieces

Anticipating, waiting, it’s ready to blow

It could be tragic, it could be small, no one knows

The magma screams, waiting to see the light of day

Boom! The volcano bursts, bringing rocks and lava to surface

Chaos everywhere, people screaming, and the volcano sits back and watches it all
