Spring

Poetry by Marcella DeAngelis

I felt the raindrops
Falling from the sad clouds
Tickling my forehead

The sound of the “pitter-patter” calmed me
The wind comforted me
Wrapping its arms around me

My toes melting into the green grass
Soaked in rain and planted in mud
Feeling as if they were rooted in the ground

My eyes up to the beautiful gray sky
A smile making its way across my raindrop kissed face
Spring is the season I adore most
